BHRA History

Blue Ridge Horticulture Association was started in the fall of 1994 to promote the area's rapidly growing ornamental horticulture industry through the introduction and expansion of professional standards.

The Organization also provides for opportunities for socialization between members at picnics, Christmas dinners and other functions. This allows members to get to know eachother and exchange ideas in a relaxed setting.

The ornamental horticulture industry has grown in area where it ranks as the #1 agricultural commodity. The nurseries, greenhouses, and sod farms in the area work hard to produce quality products, marketing them to most of the Eastern half of the United States.
